"Ascend" captures the ethereal beauty of dawn as the sun’s first rays reach over majestic mountains, heralding a new day with the promise of renewal and hope. This artwork weaves together the golden hues of early morning light with the deep, earthy tones of mountain landscapes. The use of warm, rich yarns evokes the comforting embrace of sunrise, while repurposed leather trimmings – representing the strength and durability of traditional craftsmanship – add a touch of sophistication.
"Cascade" poetically captures the grandeur of a waterfall that finds grace as it flows through tranquil mountains amid misty clouds. Beeyarnd is founded by local fibre artist Alicia C. Kirwan. It is created with a purpose to bring perspectives beyond the conventional impression of yarn. Using yarn as her primary medium, she designs and makes fibre art and installation to encapsulate treasured memories and emotions for her clients in both home and commercial spaces.
