In this conversation with Andy, Danielle, Lavender, and Priscilla, we will explore how their mediums reflect their inspirations, how personal experiences shape their artistic voices, and the challenges they face in their creative journeys.

Gain insight into each artist’s unique medium and the impact of their distinct storytelling approaches. We will also hear how experimenting with new techniques has influenced their creative processes and the evolution of their work.

About the Panellist

Andy Yang Soo Kit is a multi-disciplinary Singapore-based artist. Building forms and advancing narratives led by intuition, his wide-ranging works demonstrate his technical virtuosity and dexterity across a plethora of media. For his excellence, he has received prominent artwork commissions, and has works can be found in numerous private and public collections internationally.

Danielle Tay is a visual artist whose vibrant paintings, collages and murals are well known to enliven spaces. Fascinated by events and happenings in daily life which are sometimes overlooked, she enjoys bringing the unseen to life and capturing the essence of fleeting moments which resonate with her. Her works are held in private collections internationally, and she has created works for notable clients such as Meta, Google, CapitaLand, Singapore Tourism Board, and Shake Shack, some of which are displayed around Singapore.

Lavender Chang is a visual artist whose practice reflects her sensitivity toward the subtle nuances in her immediate surroundings. She hopes to focus on these experiences, to create a canvas allowing further contemplation and letting the passage of time leave behind traces of her mortality. She is known for her timebased, process-driven work.

Priscilla Tey is an illustrator and author who loves finding the fantastical in the ordinary, A RISD graduate, she has published three picture books internationally, and her work has been recognised by The Wall Street Journal, and juries at the Society of illustrations (NYC) and World Illustration Awards. With a versatile practice, Priscilla enjoys illustrating for a variety of clients, creating new visual narratives in both traditional and digital media.

As we celebrate 10 Years and Beyond, we return to a tradition dear to Bynd Artisan—the gathering of hearts and minds in conversations that echo the beauty of shared journeys.

In this anniversary series of heartfelt panel conversations, we continue to honour these connections, weaving together voices and experiences into insights that inspire and uplift.
